“We know that she married her brother to try to bring him into the United States”, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said of the Minnesota Democrat. “We know he lives now in London.”
Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar allegedly was still married to her first husband, Ahmed Hirsi, at the time of the second marriage, the congresswoman has told friends who relayed the account.
“There's no expiration to that”, Mullin said of the potential charges. “If we can prove it that, maybe you shouldn't have been here in the first place, we'll deport you.”

With a little more than two months to go before November’s midterm elections, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has opened an intensive election fraud investigation in at least nine states, according to internal Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) guidance obtained by CNN.
A DHS spokesperson said HSI cannot comment on active investigations. The official did say that the investigations unit, a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE), “is actively rooting out and investigating election fraud wherever it can be found”.
Restoring election integrity has been a tall order amid sagging voter confidence in the system, dirty voter rolls in states across the country, and the refusal by Democrat-led states to release their voter rolls for auditing by federal officials. The “coordinated voter fraud surge initiative” comes as concern rises over noncitizens showing up in voter registration databases — and casting ballots in federal elections.The Federalist
Democrats Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington State and Jared Golden of Maine sided with Republicans, voting for a “rule” to support moving forward legislation that included advancing a bill to condemn socialism and calling for a crackdown on election fraud.
Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Minority Whip Katherine Clark and Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar slammed the defectors, saying they were “blindsided”... “the Republican majority to pass a procedural rule on the brink of failing represents a significant breach of trust”.

President Donald Trump responded to criticism from Democrats regarding the motives behind his moves to rename buildings around Washington, D.C., after himself, saying that no one else will do it once he is out of office.
Trump’s comments to New York Magazine came as the outlet asked the president about monuments such as the “Triumphal Arch” in the nation's capital.
The “Triumphal Arch” is only one of many projects Trump has begun construction of in Washington, D.C., with the deeply controversial White House Ballroom being another of the president's marquee construction projects.

It began with former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos [aka: “Step On All Of Us”] and chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce touting the Supreme Court thwarting President Trump’s attempt to institute a national standard regarding mail-in voting.

President Donald Trump met with ranchers in the Oval Office on Friday, signing two executive orders to incentivize the domestic production of beef: Supporting America’s Ranchers and Promoting Fair Competition In Livestock Markets And Expanding Market Access for American Meat Producers.

The Trump administration dangled access to AI (Artificial Intelligence) chips made by the U.S. tech company Nvidia to try and broker peace between warring nations, according to a report.
United States negotiators managed to use access to Nvidia's cutting-edge AI hardware to help persuade Armenia to move forward with a peace deal with neighboring Azerbaijan, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The two countries had spent decades locked in a bitter struggle over the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, with the conflict repeatedly erupting into war. Daily Mail
In a rare study, Chinese aerospace researchers have explored how a war could one day spill into the vast space between the Earth and the moon, with rival spacecraft chasing and evading each other, trying to slip past defences and even blocking strategic routes.
Spacecraft could hide in the complex gravitational environment around the moon, where their trajectories are difficult to predict, before emerging and moving towards targets closer to Earth when needed, according to a team from the Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xian.
The craft could also be stationed near “choke points” – regions where important or fuel-efficient routes converge – ready to intercept rivals and potentially force them to break through or take less efficient routes, the researchers wrote in the Chinese-language Journal of Command and Control in July. Now that the Lindsay Clancy case just ended in a mistrial and justice is, for the moment, suspended, it’s time to pay special attention to a certain kind of woman, a perfect example of which showed herself while Plymouth County, Massachusetts, District Attorney Timothy Cruz was talking to news media immediately after the trial judge declared the mistrial.
She appeared to be in her 30s, dressed in pink — as Clancy supporters are known to wear — and she stood in camera view, maybe intentionally - The woman yelled out over him. “You only cared when the kids were dead”, she said, sporting sunglasses and a bright pink scarf and purse. “Why don’t you care about the mother?”
That such a woman is permitted to walk the streets unaccosted and maybe even have children of her own is an alarming reality. And she’s not alone. What this trial has revealed, among other dark and disturbing truths, is that they are legion.

Warren, the ranking member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, sent a personal letter to Bessent on August 14 to press “for more information regarding the Trump administration’s decision to deploy its Exchange Stabilization Fund (ESF) to boost financial markets and inflate the Japanese yen.”
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent attacked Senator Elizabeth Warren over an error in her letter questioning the U.S. intervention to support the Japanese yen, offering a lesson on “Foreign Exchange for Dummies”.
Bessent finally responded over a weeklong disagreement over the Treasury Department’s decision to execute a joint currency intervention with Japan to support the weakening Japanese yen, saying the Massachusetts Democrat “made it clear that she knows even less about foreign exchange markets than she does about banking” before saying the opening paragraph of her letter “is wrong about where the money came, what the transaction was, and whether there was even a borrower”.
Bessent’s response did not disclose the size, execution rate or current value of the U.S. yen purchase, leaving several of Warren’s questions unanswered and more in the dark.Washington Examiner
